Kindergarten Q&A

Incoming Kindergarten Parents: You are invited to join us for a virtual question and answer session! Thursday, May 7 from 6:30-7:30.  RSVP to for a meeting link.



Final Drop-off/Pick-up of School Items: May 14 - 11:30am-6:00pm, May 15 - 10:00am-2:00pm. Please bring any completed paper NTI work, borrowed Chromebooks or iPads and their chargers, library books and other school materials to drop off.  You may pick up any student belongings (and a special gift for 5th graders!) at this time.

Medication Pick-up: Any student medication left at school can be picked up on the same schedule as food distribution/chromebook/NTI drop-off times. Medications left at school after 2:00pm on May 15 will be destroyed. Pick-up times: May 11 - 11:30-1:30, May 14 - 11:30am-6:00pm, May 15 - 10:00am-2:00pm.

Virtual Variety Show: Calling all 3rd-5th graders! It's time for the Variety Show! Contact Mrs. Bowmer ( for more information and send her a video of your act.  The Variety Show will be uploaded to Google Classroom on May 11.

Classroom Awards: We want to celebrate your success this year! Classroom award ceremonies will be uploaded into Google Classroom/NTI Site on May 11.

5th Grade Promotion: A link to our virtual promotion ceremony will be uploaded into Google Classroom on Tuesday, May 12 at 8:00am. Host a virtual watch party with your friends and family to celebrate the end of your time at Simmons!

End-of-Year Video: The end of year video showcasing all our fun and learning will be uploaded to Facebook on May 12.

Simmons 5th Grade/Simmons Senior Parade: We want to say goodbye to you (from a safe distance!)  We are inviting all Senior Bulldogs and all 5th grade Bulldogs to a farewell parade!  Come to Simmons to drive by our blue doors one last time while waving from your car!  Please put a sign on your car with your name.  Tuesday, May 12 - 5:00-6:30pm.

Doctor checkup Health Forms Needed to Enter 6th Grade

Kentucky state law requires that children entering 6th grade have:

  • a valid Kentucky Immunization Certificate
  • a 6th grade physical examination 

You are encouraged to schedule your appointments now.  Please note that a Sports Physical is different from a 6th grade Physical.
