ETC is open until 6 pm on regular school days. Hours are 7 am until 6 pm on Snow Days unless conditions are too dangerous such as a state of emergency declared by the governor or the parking lots cannot be cleared. Full day programs take place at one location that will be announced in advance.
ETC will also be open for its full-day program on Non-Traditional Instruction Days (NTI). During NTI days, students will have a short opportunity to work on NTI assigned school work during the day's activity schedules, however, due to the varied assignments and age levels, staff may not be able to offer one on one assistance. Some computer time should be available as well for those who have work assignments in their google classroom.
Students must be registered in the ETC program before they can attend any full days.
If ETC has to be closed for dangerous conditions, families will be notified by the One Call Now system and/or email as early as possible. We try to post updates on our Facebook page at WCPS Explorer Time Company - ETC.

Upon enrollment to ETC you may get an email from Smartcare asking you to set up an account. You may also get an email containing a bill that looks like it came from your child's school. These are just test billings and you should disregard until we announce to everyone that Smartcare is going live.
