Students needing to fulfill their Graduated Driver Licensing requirement can register now for a class at www.aliveat25.us.  


The Woodford County Chamber of Commerce Women In Business committee sponsors a program each year called #CareerReady which is an opportunity for young women to be matched with a professional business woman to help them prepare for college and or job interviews.  The program is FREE and all students who complete the 4 session program are eligible for a complimentary interview suit or business appropriate outfit. Applications are available in the guidance office.

Henry Clay Center for Statesmanship  High School Student Congress

The High School Student Congress will accept fifty exceptional rising high school seniors (juniors in the 2018-2019 school year) through a competitive application process. Applicants both from Kentucky and across the nation are welcome to apply, as previous years’ attendees have represented nearly every state in the US. Qualities of successful applicants include:

  • Record of academic excellence, as exemplified by GPA and standardized test scores
  • Participation in relevant coursework, such as AP Government, Economics and History
  • Interest in pursuing public service
  • Commitment to service and leadership
  • Dedication to learning and participation, and ability to interact well with peers, as exemplified by required teacher recommendation
  • Demonstration of excellent writing skill, as exemplified in required application essays


The ACT MOM will be offering a three-session ACT prep workshop at WCHS in February  to prepare for a spring or March ACT.  Register atwww.actmom.org.   These sessions will take place at Woodford County High School on February 19, 20, & 21 from 5:00-8:00pm.
